Ways Dr. Shuldiner can help you with your Low Vision
If you or a loved one are now having problems seeing and doing the things you have enjoyed, Dr. Shuldiner can help. If you have been told by your eye doctor that a change in your eyeglass prescription will not help you see any better, call Dr. Shuldiner who is trained to design special glasses that can make a difference.
Are you tired of hearing “NOTHING MORE CAN BE DONE”? Are you frustrated at having to use hand magnifiers to read?
Whether you have Macular Degeneration, Diabetic Retinopathy, Inoperable Cataracts, Glaucoma or any other condition causing vision loss, call 1-855-906-2020 for an interview. We will offer an appointment only if we believe we can help.*
1. Spectacle Miniature Telescopes
Designed for tasks requiring better central vision and mobility, these glasses are used by drivers to see signs and traffic lights, by grandparents to see grandchildren playing soccer and bridge players to see cards on the table.
2. ClearImage II MicroScope Glasses
Two high-powered lenses “piggybacked” for crystal clear images are prescribed for reading small print.
3. Spectacle Prismatic Glasses
These moderate powered lenses are useful for near tasks like reading, writing and handicrafts.
4. E-Scoop Contrast Enhancing Glasses
These lenses combine five special optical elements that create a larger, clearer, higher contrast image. One patient improved his golf score dramatically wearing them. Another explained, “This is the clearest I have seen in years.” They must be seen to be believed.
5. Nutritional Counseling
There have been a remarkable number of clinical studies over the past decade concerning nutritional supplements that nourish the macula. Age Related Eye Disease Studies 1 & 2 (AREDS) and others have demonstrated the benefits of certain vitamins, minerals and anti-oxidants on macular degeneration.
Because new information is being published regularly, it is best to discuss the latest information with Dr. Shuldiner.
6. Illumination Counseling
The aging retina of the eye requires increased illumination to achieve better vision. We will recommend low vision designed lamps and bulbs for best results at home.
7. Driving Rehabilitation
Loss of independence is the single most devastating result of vision loss. To pass DMV vision requirements, the better eye must test better than 20/200. We can test your vision for DMV qualification, and we have the appropriate phone numbers to assist you in passing the driving test.
